Example
A proposal awaiting decision in a conservation area shows as planned. Once granted it shows as approved, and each record links to the council's own register.
How we calculate it
- Records come from the national Planning Data planning-application dataset (Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (Planning Data)).
- The pilot covers Westminster (E09000033) and Camden (E09000007). Other boroughs show no coverage: unknown, not empty.
- Duplicate references collapse to the latest entry; withdrawn applications are counted and labelled but left out of the results.
- Each record has a currency check: an old update is marked stale, and you are asked to confirm on the council register.
The fine print
- There is no planning-risk score: a proposal nearby never decides for you.
- An empty search names the dataset covered; it never claims there is no development.
- Dataset updated 2026-08-30, reviewed 2026-09-06.
- With real data the card counts the area's planning applications over the last two years, next to its conservation areas and charging zones; the staged pilot records are demo only.
