Sold prices

Every recorded home sale in Greater London since 1995, one pin per home, from HM Land Registry.

Each dot is a sale. The area's price per m² is the median of the dots in the last 12 months.

Example

Zoom into a street and tap a pin: flat, leasehold, sold March 2019 for £415,000; before that £300,000 in 2012. That is about +4.7% a year between the two sales. Pins show recorded sales only, never a value for the home today.

How we calculate it

The fine print

On the £/m² layers, Show individual sales places one pin per home at its last sale recorded by HM Land Registry Price Paid (Greater London, 1995 onwards). Homes matched to an EPC sit at their OS Open UPRN coordinate; others sit at their postcode centre and are drawn fainter. From zoom 15 each pin shows the sale price, date, type, tenure, new-build flag, the sale before it (with the annualised change between the two) and the area's growth. Between zoom 11 and 14 pins merge into dots of the median of homes sold in the last five years; a dot needs at least three homes. No pin carries a value for the home today.

Growth colours each home by its area's change in the rolling 12-month median £/m² over 1, 3, 5, 10 or 20 years (the LSOA index, or its MSOA/borough fallback). Non-standard sales (Price Paid category B: repossessions, buy-to-let and company purchases) are shown and labelled, but never enter the £/m² index or the area price ranges. "Other" property types are hidden until selected in the filters. A home with a confirmed privacy objection has no pin.

Sale prices and addresses are public records. Price Paid addresses may be shown against the sale they belong to, but are not offered as an address list.
